WAREHOUSE MANAGER [MANUFACTURING]

Introduction

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to work in their PE warehouse, managing stock from CPT to PE.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage inbound stock and transfers from CPT, and all outbound customer orders and aged stock returns

• Control stock movements accurately on Syspro

• Manage in-house transporters and ensure deliveries meet SLA

• Train, motivate and discipline warehouse staff/pickers

• Handle customer returns (credits on time), queries and complaints

• Record in-house damages and decant damaged stock

• Return empty pallets to CPT factory

• Liaise with customers, branches, transporters and sales reps on stock and delivery info

• Purchase warehouse consumables and negotiate with vendors

• Drive cost savings and process improvements

• Run monthly stock counts and investigate variances

• Maintain housekeeping, equipment servicing and OHS (monthly audits)

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric

• Tertiary Qualification

• 5+ years proven warehouse management experience, including people management

• 5+ years Syspro (or similar ERP) stock control experience

• Stock count and variance investigation experience

• Knowledge of OHS and machinery/equipment maintenance

• Experience in returns/credits, procurement and vendor negotiation

• Strong customer service and communication skills
